The Open
is the moment.
When the Open brackets take the court, the energy changes. Great rallies draw a crowd. Every point has a little more weight. It has become one of the best parts of Invitational weekend for players and spectators alike.

A little pickleball history
Jokerst Park
was here early.
Jokerst Memorial Park is part of the story of pickleball in Missouri. Local reporting traces the park’s pickleball roots to a 2015 approval to convert recreation space into courts, making Jokerst one of Missouri’s early public pickleball destinations. Players have since traveled to this wooded park for local play and tournament weekends.
In September 2023, the Festus City Council approved its fiscal 2023–24 budget with $500,000 for renovation of the Jim & Michelle Berger Pickleball Courts at Jokerst Park. The announced plan called for two more courts alongside improvements to lighting, fencing, and parking. At the time, the city expected the work to be completed by spring 2024.
The Invitational belongs to that story: the same courts, another generation of players, and a community that makes visitors feel at home.
